this update is long overdue.

yea big + kid static has recently teamed up with noise problem booking agency. look out for a spring/summer nation-wide tour. we're finally going to get out west.

the mae-shi have a new 7" single coming out and it features my mash-up "run to the facts" on the b-side. i'm stoked about that one.

yb+ks has a couple of big shows coming up. we're playing at a skatefest in tinley park with eyedea and abilities and the cool kids on january 12. and we're playing at the metro with rhymefest and verbal kent on january 18.

eatchyo samwich is going to be released as a single in the next couple of months on our friend's label, the fuck me stupid mountain princess recording collective. 3" cd with very special packaging.

i finally updated the disco page to include oh astro's new full-length and the new mae-shi 7".

i think that's all for now.

a little over a week until we hit the road again. this time with the Mae-Shi. i just finished mixing a new limited edition tour only release, mashing up YB+KS with the Mae-Shi. its hot.

...this band i'm in, Oh Astro, headed by the mystifyingly talented and beautiful, Jane Dowe, is finishing up a new full-length record. i think it is supposed to be released sometime this fall or winter. its coming together quite nicely. i'm excited.

for a bit more back story on OA, here's a nice review of our 2005 ep, Hello World. and here's a super awesome angry review by some dude who really really seemed to hate us a whole lot. he actually called one of the drum sounds i used, "the worst glitch-drum sound ever committed to tape," and he goes on to call our record "an insult to most real fans of genuine musical progression." ha ha, i had forgotten about that. what a snarky bastard! i love it!

i can now officially announce that Yea Big + Kid Static, fresh off of our tour with Rapider Than Horsepower, will be touring the first couple weeks of August with The Mae-Shi. i'll post all of the dates once they are confirmed-confirmed.

we are oh so excited!

Most of my free time these days is being spent booking spring and summer tour dates for my project with Kid Static. We're touring the east coast with Rapider Than Horsepower in June. If anyone out there has any hookups in or near any of these places, please give me a holler: cleveland, providence, philadelphia, dc, richmond, asheville, summerville or columbia sc, athens, anywhere in tennessee, and louisville.

Many things are happening... despite the chill of Chicago's winter trying to slow me down.

1. New Website! (obviously). Steven "No Wonder Here" Vance designed this masterpiece. Eric Lower made the "Yea Big" graphic. Take a look around and enjoy yourself.
2. Steady booking shows for the Spring and Summer world take-over that Kid Static and I are planning.
3. I started a pop band with an amazing singer I met. Her name is Andrea. You can check out a couple of our works in progress on our myspace page.
